Sony Ericsson unveiled its first Windows Mobile 6 Professional powered smartphone. Featuring the new Xperia panel-based home screen, the X1 has a unique arc form slide-out QWERTY keyboard, WVGA (800×480 pixel) touchscreen display, and built-in GPS receiver.
The Xperia X1 features quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and 4 bands of HSDPA/HSUPA (850/1700/1900/2100MHz or 900/1700/1900/2100MHz) support, as well as WiFi, for unbeatable connectivity. The slender Xperia X1 measures 110mm x 53mm x 17mm (4.3″ x 2.1″ x .7″) and weighs in at 145g (5.1oz). A 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus and video capture is also on board.

well what i heard is that sony ericsson is making it for almost any phone company. i dont think it will be for a specific company, but you can unlock it to anything. you can learn how to on their website.
ps. anybody know how much this will cost?
Sorry mate, Sweden is getting to lay our hands on it first, it comes out next week for us, yey! but according to our sources you won’t be getting it until after christmas, sorry man :/ hope I’m wrong
yes i was thinking that same but no one knows until it comes out, in like 3-4 weeks i guess for the U.S. It doesnt make sense for a cellphone to cost as much as a laptop & or a Ps3,if it DOES COST THAT MUcH ppl are scaring the shyt outai me with prices ranging from 640$-1000$ i dont want a bandwagon ass iPhone like everyone else. Honestly the only reason that i would truly get on is to make Apps & make money off of it but i dont have a Mac, h3ll ill Lets hope for the best in these coming weeks

Its gonna come out this mid september, w/o a contract its gonna be like 800 900 dollars. Its gonna work on at&t and tmobile. With a contract i would imagine it to be like 500-600 dollars.
hmmmm my sources are telling me this is going to be an all carrier phone, mostly all carriers are going to carry this phone, at least thats what my sources say
if no one has posted it yet i found out that this isnt coming out until Jan 2009 and it might not come to the US b/c of a lawsuit between Qualcomm and Broadcom the phone might be banned from being sold in the US but u can still import it most likely but for a pretty penny.
Cot damn can ANYONE please lend/hint some tips on THE PRICE good LORD!!!!!!!!!! & this phone better come out next month cause im not gettin an iPhone with itz no recording-ass-camera.
damn….this phone is soooo sweet. Touch screen and slide out keyboard. Perfect for people like me who cant stand texting on iphones touchscreen keyboard

its cool, Samsung omnia and HTC Diamond both dont have 3.5mm jack this does also nokia n96 has 3.5mm j to.
